1. If you had a dollar for every time a person asked you this, you’d be rich:
When women ask me“ What do you mean [insert PMS symptom] is not normal?”
2. Most influential book ever written and why:
“Women Who Run with the Wolves” by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
There are so many things I could say about this book.Clarissa is an incredibly beautiful writer. Her words are visceraland willtouch you at the centre of your heart. This book is a gift filled with wisdom on the female archetypes. I think every woman who reads it will find that it serves asa road map in her creative life and as an explorationof her instinctual self. This book is for any woman looking to do the deep work.
3. Two things on your nightstand right now:
A wake-up light with sunrise simulation (the kind that mimics the sunshine) and a copy of “the sun and her flowers” by Rupi Kaur
4. Your source of motivation; what keeps you practicing:
It allows me to feel more authentically “me”. It allows me to accessthat creation mode inside of me so I can channel my energy into the many creative outletsthat make me feel aligned. It also allows me to develop clarity, which in my opinion, is like the golden sauce to everything and spills into pretty much every aspect of my life.
5. The biggest change since starting yoga:
Practicing yoga has quite literally rewired my nervous system. It makes me feel more grounded, centred, anchored, and aligned. The practices teach me to listen more, andto notbe rushing through my life.
6. Your worst “non-yogic” habit:
Multi tasking. It’s so hard for me to kick this habit.
7. Your least favourite pose, and do you still practice it anyway?
Deep hip openers. Ouff.
8. Your favourite day of the year:
June 21st, the Summer Solstice and it happens to be my birthday too.
9. If you could snap your fingers and change one thing, what would it be?
Fear is at the root of every destructive behaviour. I often wonder what life would be like if we could snap ourselves and other people out of fear.
10. What or whom has had the most positive influence on your life?
Love relationships that trigger me and stretch me to love better.
