Elevate your coffee game – Dairy-Free “Bulletproof Coffee”

Take your java juice to the next level with a velvety cup of dairy-free bulletproof coffee.
Originally created by Dave Asprey, founder of the Bulletproof Diet, his famous bulletproof coffee was inspired by an energy-boosting beverage made of tea & butter that he was served while mountain trekking in Tibet.
Asprey’s unique concoction is a mixture of organic coffee, grass-fed butter or ghee and MCT oil (derived from coconuts) all whipped together in a blender, resulting in a frothy coffee beverage.
Studies have shown that the healthy MCT fats (medium chain triglycerides) found in coconut oil can help to improve blood sugar levels, satiate hunger for longer periods of time and lower cholesterol levels. Research also indicates that because the calories contained in MCTs are more efficiently turned into energy and thereby utilized, they are less likely to be stored as fat.
All of a sudden your morning cup of coffee is a source of nutrients! Holla!
The most important step to creating that fluffy magic is combining the organic coffee and MCT oil with the other fat (we chose coconut milk + coconut oil) in a high-speed blender.
It is simply not possible to get the desired whipped texture without it; doing it by hand results in nothing more than an oily and clumpy cup of coffee.
Go for the magic!
Our dairy-free version of the original simply swaps the grass-fed butter for coconut oil and we added a splash of creamy non-dairy milk to give it a little extra smoothness.
What you need:
375ml hot organic coffee brewed in a French press or drip
1 teaspoon Bulletproof MCT oil (or another brand of choice)
1 tablespoon cold pressed coconut oil
1 tablespoon non-dairy milk (coconut, cashew, rice, almond)
½ tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high for 30 seconds. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy while it’s still hot!
