The GOODBODYFEEL (GBF) Method is an approach to physical practice – blending Pilates, yoga and mindfulness – that is radically inclusive and committed to accessibility. This is achieved through the way the classes are sequenced, ensuring bodies are primed for the work, through language used, which is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and all-body-loving, and it is also achieved in the spaces we endeavour to hold and create, honouring the spectrum of privilege and the need to share it. The GBF Teacher Training (GBFTT) unpacks the topics of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, ritual, rhythm, mindfulness, body-politics and looks at the roles they play in creating a meaningful movement experience. This annual 200hr training meets one weekend a month for 9 months. It includes a guidebook of original content, including movement breakdowns, foundation sequences, embodied business strategies and inclusivity considerations. It includes a 108-card deck of movements+poses to encourage play, curiosity and spontaneity with sequencing. And it includes one-on-one coaching and opportunity for thorough feedback on teaching demonstrations. On a more intuitive level, you’ll learn to listen to your higher self; tune in to what your body needs rather than fixating on what it looks like; and be kind to and compassionate toward yourself, understanding that your needs and abilities are in a constant state of flux. You’ll experience the transformative effects that come from making mindful movement your embodied ritual. Delve deeper into your movement practice, tap into your voice, access your innate leader and learn how to share mindful movement from Y O U R authentic place. Learn how to build safe, dynamic, graceful and challenging sequences that encourage people to come home to their bodies.
